Five.

The Pentateuch (or Torah) is the first five books of the Bible, 'The Books of Moses' - Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy.

Pentateuch simply means 'five books'.

Torah is often translated 'law' (which seems quite fitting, given the numbers of laws found in the Pentateuch - especially in Leviticus), but its full meaning includes not just 'law', but 'teaching', 'instruction', and 'guidance' too.

That multi-layered definition reminds me of the purpose for laws - whether they're given by God, like the 10 Commandments, or laws made by governments - they're there to guide, support and protect more than punish, restrict or constrain.
With that in mind, it's no surprise that the Jewish prayer, the Shema, from Deuteronomy chapter 6, has near the start 'love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.'
