Not a photo I've taken, today. Instead, as it's Maundy Thursday, a 'Judas Tree' seemed fitting.
Its was given that name because of Judas Iscariot. Maundy Thursday is particularly a day when we reflect on Judas' handing over of Jesus to those who wanted to arrest him.
It's made me wonder, what things do I have names for that other people have inspired?
For example, a wonderful colour-blind priest that I used to work with always called one of the hymn books 'the brown book' - even though it's orange. It's still called that in our house, which makes us smile every time we use it because we remember her, too.
Chocolate, too, is often called 'Jee-doc' - after our toddler's way of saying 'Easter eggs' - "Jesus chocolate!"
