One other danger of thinking about the Trinity is that it's easy to think 'Father, Son, and Holy Spirit', and end up separating them too much, so that you essentially end up with three gods.
The Trinity has three Persons, but is only one God. Professor Mike Higton wrote a sermon about the Trinity only using one-syllable words (give or take a couple)… ..why not take a look? - It's here.
